...and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

I’m going to attempt defining the roles of the following 3 FVBC missional entities that currently exist:
1>   Out of the Fish Bowl experiences
2>   MOBsquad Gatherings
3>   MOBfinancial Team

1>   Out of the Fish Bowl experiences: To love and serve
OOTFB experiments are simply activities we plan to love the people in our community and throughout Colorado in interesting & hopefully relevant ways.  Our goal is to point people to the love of Jesus.  Any person interested in being a part of these activities is welcome!
2>   MOBsquad GatheringsTo inspire & be inspired
Are going to have a slight shift in focus.  At the last MOBsquad meeting, the group gathered thought it would be a good idea for the Director of Missions [yours truly (at this time)] to have a small, committed group of people to discuss, & prayerfully make ongoing missional financial decisions.  Taking the financial piece out of the MOBsquad Gatherings will set that time free to learn about what God’s doing around the world and how we can take part in His redemptive actions locally and globally.  There are infinite ways we can get really creative with these gatherings.  We can invite guest speakers in to share, watch mind-blowing relevant videos, share our personal stories about how God’s transformed our lives, and how we’ve seen Him love the people around us.  We can have longer times of prayer for the missionaries we support, eat together, laugh together, create care packages to mail to missionaries abroad, ect.  What are your ideas?  The MOBsqaud gatherings are open to anyone that desires to attend.
3>   MOBfinancial Team: To pray and make financial decisions
This needs to be a small (3-7 people), committed crew who is:
a)     Able to meet quarterly to pray & make needed financial decisions related to FVBC missions
b)    Able to reply ongoingly & quickly to emails that the Director of Missions sends out to that small team regarding financial decisions that need to be made in between their quarterly times together.
~ Willing to be both a sounding board and be a group of accountability for the Director of Missions

We will advertize OOTFB events to everyone on the FVBC mailer & to my OOTFB mailer (that includes some key missional folks from other churches around the county).  *but I love the idea of inviting ‘not yet followers of Jesus’ into those times!

MOBsquad Gatherings will be advertized throughout FVBC, but feel free to invite others into these times!

Only the members of the MOBfinancial Team will get emails regarding the nitty gritty financial issues.  At this time, I’m happy to say that 3 others have stepped forward to team with me here (Paige Walker, Christine Miller, & Corinne Watters).  If you feel a strong desire to be on this team, please let me know!

Please let me know if you have questions, concerns, or see my blind spots w/in the info above.

I love each of you dearly and am blessed to be on mission with you!

For the love of King Jesus,

                              Your sister,
